Innate Chiropractic Health,LLC
Due to the intimate location of the adductor muscle group, groin pulls, strains and
sprains often go untreated. Common in activities that require running and jumping,
the attachment sites of the muscles that compose the groin are placed under
stresses which they cannot meet, and pull away from the bone and surrounding
soft tissues. This leads to irritation, swelling, pain and bruising in some instances.
While most groin pulls will heal on their own with time, treatment of the injury can
aid the recovery process and reduce unaided healing time. It is imperative to allow
your body the proper time to heal before returning to the activities that led to
injury; a speedy return may inhibit healing or further damage the unhealthy tissue.
Soft tissue treatment of the involved tissues can reduce inflammation and pain, and
improve the overall condition of the groin injury.
Adjustments to the lower back and hip may be utilized in conjunction with soft tissue treatments such as Active Release Technique®, Kinesiotaping, Graston or guasha. Acupuncture may also be advised as it is often successful in decreasing inflammation/edema, as well as significantly improving pain levels.
The doctors at Innate are trained and experienced at groin pull pain relief treatments naturally, without drugs or surgery. After examination they select from a variety of treatments for groin pulls which are best suited to treat your condition. These may include Chiropractic, Acupuncture or Active Release Technique®.
